Alabama Adventures
Here is jus a few random pictures from things we have done down here. I will be posting more soon as soon as I can get them to upload on here. The one with all the kids was my friend Ashleys little girl Mya and Paityn playin at the fountains when these two little boys started following them around. Guess they were a little too interested in our girls, but hey what can we say they are so cute lol. It was too funny! The one with the turtle Brady brought that home one day for her, his name is Marshmallow. We had caught a lizard and she named it Lizzie but I was not about to catch bugs to feed it so I said she needed to go back home so Paityn let her go!

Alabama
I apologize this post is going to be so long but I have not updated in forever so we will start with this first. Well we moved to Alabama around the first of April...Daphne Alabama to be exact for Bradys job, he is working for Axis Home Automation Company. It's beautiful here, the people are so kind and genuine, everyone waves or says hello. I love our new apartment minus the neighbors next to us (they can get a little loud on weekends). We live by a golf course and have a huge lake in the center of our complex which as only 3 alligators in it lol. They have frogs, turtles, alligators lizards and more. The first day we were here Brady came in from taking the dogs out and woke Paityn up to go look at a baby turtle, she loved it. We caught a baby lizard about a week later with her bug catcher she got from my mom for Easter, she loved it, we named her Lizzie (go figure) and had her for a few days, we didn't have any food for her and I was not about to go out bug hunting and bringing them into my house so we asked Paityn if we could let her go. She was a good sport about it and said her grandma was calling her "lizzie come home for dinner with your mommy and daddy". She has so much fun here! A couple days after letting her lizard go Brady came home from work with a"suprise" it was a baby turtle. Not sure what kind, we are thinking a red eared slider but Paityn absolutely loves it. She named him Marshmallow she feeds him everyday she helped me clean out his tank and she loves just watching him.
Alabama has been so great, minus the missings of our family and friends but it's a great experience. I have met and become friends with a few or the other moms who's husbands work with Brady, Paityn has made some friends herself and her newest and best friend for the moment is Mya she is almost 4 and is such a fun cute little girl. Brady is doing so great as his job and I love being able to stay home with Paityn although I'm sure that will change soon when I need some time by myself lol. It has so far been great out here. The only bad thing that has happened is we have these huge Palmetto bugs I think is what they are called, it's basically just a nice name for cockroach....yep that's right that is the state bug out here talk about YUCK!! Anyways Paityn woke up one day and asked for a drink I groggy walked into the kitchen got her water and put her back to bed, I walked back into my room to use the bathroom when I walked out I gasped so loud Brady jumped out of bed thinking I was being attacked...there right outside my bathroom door was one of those bugs, I kid you not it was the length of my pinky and about a half inch wide, it was disgusting...Brady made me pick it up lol so I used Paityns toy bucket and hurried and picked it up and threw it in the toilet and flushed it. I had noticed however when I went to pick him up that he was injured and then it hit me oh my good hell I stepped on that thing walking into the bathroom...BAREFOOT!!!! Yep that's right, how I didn't notice at the time was probably due to my sleepy eyes and groggyness. Anyways that is hopefully the onlytime we have to deal with those, I'm a very clean person so I know it's not because of that, the neighbor says they have them when it rains alot outside.
I started doing some research online about where we live because I need to know what I got myself into, that and I have alot of time sitting at home during the day. I found out that we are in a hurricane regin, I read that hurricane season starts May 1 and goes until November 30. I pray that we won't have to deal with one of those but Brady and I have been talking and getting lists together to put our 96 hour kits together. The neighbors say it's the best thing to do because you just never know. We live about 45 minutes from Pensecola Florida and about 15 minutes from Mobile Alabama. Not to mention were only an hour and a half from Tennessee and Mississippi. It doens't hurt to be prepared right.
Anyways I will try to keep this update for everyone!!! We love and miss you all!

What's New

So I know I haven't been very faithful with this whole blogging thing but I figured I would give a little update since I haven't for a while...In the past months, Paityn has turned 1! I know I can't believe it myself, I keep wondering where the time went and I find myself looking back at pictures and loving how much she has grown! She has been walking since about 8 months and is really starting to talk and well!!! She has so much energy and so much personality, she is just such a joy to have around, she is such a wonderful blessing and we love her so so much...we can't picture our lives without her here! Brady is still going to school and is doing wonderful...he only has about 10 months left and then he will graduate, he is always one of the top people in his class and his professors love him! I love reading some of his papers even if I don't understand them because I know he works really hard on them and does a great job! I'm just working and being a mom. I love being a mom, it is definitley the greatest gift ever! I love spending time with Paityn just her and I. She is growing up so fast and it makes me a little sad at times, especially when I have to put her clothes away that don't fit anymore lol. Brady is a wonderful dad as well, they spend so much time together and it's so funny when I have her all she does is call out for her dad, she even picks up the phone and pretends to call him. They definitley have a special bond between them! I'm so greatful for both of them...I'll try to keep updating soon!

Wow Where Has The Time Gone
Tryin to crawl
Out for a girls night in Ogden with Grandma L. and Mom
In February we celebrated Bradys' sister Sadies 14 birthday, his moms birthday and also Paityn turned 6 months!!! We had cake and ice cream for Sadies birthday and got her a gift card to kohls. For Julies birthday we had a suprise party with just the family. We ate at wingers then went back to the house for cake and ice cream. We got her a full body massage and pedicure gift card. For Paityns 6 month we decided to get her hair cut. Aunt Malorie came over to the house and cut it. Paityn was so funny to watch when she was cutting it. She also got her very first tooth. It has been trying to come through for a while but it finally popped through the surface and I tell you what she is a heck of alot happier and that sucker is sharp. She is getting another one right next to it. I also threw a shower for my sister in law Laura who is having their first baby (a boy) on April 6. They couldn't be happier!!! I can't wait for her to have him. It will be so much fun!!
good thing it's empty
Paityn also turned 5 months in Janurary. She is getting more and more of a personality every day. She laughs at you for laughing at her. She smiles and tries to talk to people who talk to her. She even learned to roll over. She is trying really hard to crawl but she can't figure out how to get her hands and knees to move at the same time. She just sits on them and rocks until she tries to move her hands and her knees fall out from under her. For not bein able to crawl just yet she sure is mobile. If she can't reach something she spins on her stomache and pushes herself backwards across the floor, if that doesn't work she will just roll and roll until she is there. She has also figured out that if she cries mommy will come running (brady says that's gotta stop lol). Her favorite game is to through something on the floor and wait and see how long it will take for you to pick it up and give it to her so she can laugh and through it on the floor again. She is just so much fun and we absolutely just love her to death!!! She is the best thing that has ever happened to both Brady and I.
Paityns cousin Braxton Law turned 1 on January 3. Chelsea and Cody through such a cute party for him. It was so much fun to see how much he has changed. It's cute to watch him and Paityn together cuz she is so interested in him but he doesn't want anything to do with her haha. Chelsea and Cody put together a slide show of his first year and it was so adorable. We had a blast with the whole family laughing and eating cake.
For New Years Eve Brady, Paityn and I just decided to stay home together and watch movies. It was nice just bein the 3 of us. I thought it was a great way to start off 2010!!
WOW!! I can't believe that it is already March. I am not doing so good at keeping things updated so here is a look at what we have been up too starting with December! After Paityns blessing on Dec. 6 came Christmas, it was so much fun to watch her open presents, laugh, and play with all of her toys. We decided to pierce her ears for her 4 month birthday which just happened to land on Christmas day so we ended up doing it on Christmas Eve! She looks even more adorable then she did before.
